100 Buskers! ELFM Press Release

East Leeds FM have been awarded a Trinity Leeds Artist Commission. We are planning a "flash-busk" on Saturday 27th October, working with Ric Neale from The Housekeeping Society.

Here's the plan so far...100 musicians will arrive on Briggate at 1 pm spaced out along the whole length of the pedestrian street (about 1 musicians every 3 metres). Only acoustic instruments are allowed - no electricity involved (not even cheeky battery operated amplifiers!). The performance will be in four movements and last one hour... but everyone will be playing their own choice of music. It will all become clear to those 100 musicians who choose to join us, so....

  • Are you a musician or singer?
  • Are you between 5 and 100 years old?
  • Could you attend a rehearsal on either Monday 22nd or Wednesday 24th October between 6 and 8pm?
  • Are you free from 11.30am till 2pm on Saturday 27th October?
  • Could you abide by a bit of a dress code (we’re thinking black in a stylish kind of way–fedoras are optional!)
  • Are you up for a bit of a fun do?

Then simply email ed@headstogether.org stating name, age, contact details what instrument you can play and which rehearsal you can attend.
