Live At Leeds (2-5 May) reveals full Saturday Schedule and Unconference Update (press release)

The Live at Leeds Festival is less than 6 weeks away and today the festival can reveal the schedule for this year’s highly anticipated event. Over 20 official venues will welcome 15,000 people to Leeds over the weekend to watch over 200 artists and bands, covering a mixture of genres. This year features acts as diverse as Albert Hammond Jr, Chart Toppers Clean Bandit, BBC Sound nominee George Ezra and The Voice’s Beth McCarthy who complement emerging and underground talent such as Wolf Alice, Youth Man and Saint Raymond. Add the special show celebrating Dance To The Radio at Leeds Town Hall with a one-off show from ¡Forward, Russia! and iLiKETRAiNS performing a 10 year Anniversary concert, 2014 is set to be the biggest to date and one of the strongest line-ups yet. New Venues include Leeds Town Hall, Leeds College of Music, HiFi Club, Oporto and Belgrave Music Hall.

The schedule is live on the official website - Liveatleeds.com/schedule

“We are really excited for the festival this year! 2014 sees the event expand to include 20 stages across the city and over 200 bands performing as part of the Saturday Wristband Event and further events taking place across the entire bank holiday weekend. A new venue in the Leeds music scene we were keen to work with was First Direct Arena, so we are glad they are on board as the home of our wristband exchange on Saturday 3rd May.”

Andy Smith, Festival Promoter (Futuresound)

The wristband exchange will move in 2014 and be hosted by the Frist Direct Arena.

“We are extremely proud to be a part of this year’s Live at Leeds festival, hosting the Wristband Exchange here at first direct arena on Saturday 3rd May.  Last year first direct arena hosted Sky Larkin as part of the festivals pre promotion and this year we’re excited to be growing our support of Futuresound and one of the biggest and most exciting music festivals in Leeds’ calendar - celebrating local bands as well as national artists and, all that our vibrant city has to offer.  We look forward to being part of Live at Leeds again and welcoming thousands of festival goers here at the Arena in May.”

Rebecca Armstrong, first direct Arena
